Why Online Country Lists Differ

Shopify Payments, direct Klarna and Checkout.com are different routes.

A provider can publish a broad merchant-country list without making every Klarna product available to every shopper. Always compare the integration route, consumer countries, currency and contract requirements.

Sugar + Spicy: Shopify Payments

Klarna is offered as a Shopify Payments local payment method. Shopify publishes 19 customer countries, eight local checkout currencies and three possible payment types. Approved funds enter the merchant's next Shopify Payments payout.

Checkout.com: gateway-only route

Checkout.com publishes a broader merchant-country list, but its Klarna page states that the model is gateway only, a direct local-provider contract is required, and it separately lists eight consumer countries. That list does not determine availability on Sugar + Spicy.

Bottom line: for this store, use the Shopify Payments customer-country matrix above. A general Klarna market page or another processor's merchant list is not a promise that Klarna will appear in your Sugar + Spicy checkout.

Do I need an existing Klarna account?

Is Pay in 3 interest-free?

When are the three instalments collected?

Does Sugar + Spicy decide whether I am approved?

What happens if my Klarna payment is declined?

Return to Sugar + Spicy checkout and select another available payment method. Klarna or its app can provide payment-account support, but Sugar + Spicy cannot see or change Klarna's assessment.

How do returns work when I paid with Klarna?

Follow the Sugar + Spicy return policy. Once the store receives and approves the return and processes the refund, Klarna updates or refunds the payment plan as applicable.
